How tuition works
We don't print tuition here, because it depends on the room and the schedule. Here is what sets it and how it is paid.
What sets tuition
Tuition depends on your child's room and age and on the schedule you pick: a morning, the school day or the extended day. We go through the figures with you on a tour.

Registration
A registration fee covers the enrollment file and the first set of picture books and supplies. It is due when you apply, and the enrollment form says what it is.
Holding a place
A place is held once we have your enrollment form and a deposit, and the deposit goes toward the first month's tuition. When a room is full, families join a waitlist, and we offer places in the order families joined.

Billing
Tuition is billed monthly. If another arrangement would help your family, tell us at the tour.
Help with tuition
Ask us whether Louisiana's child care assistance works with our tuition. We will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do, and we would rather you ask before you apply.
Siblings
If you have more than one child at Cattail, ask at the tour what we can do. We would rather say so plainly than leave you guessing.
Withdrawing
We ask for a month's notice before a child leaves, so that we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist. The enrollment agreement says what happens to a month in progress.
Other costs
Outside tuition there are two costs: books and supplies for the year, and the few field trips the rooms take. Each is named on the enrollment form with what it covers.
