Our rooms
Three rooms, one language through the morning

Petite section, ages 2 to 3
A small room for the youngest children, with a guide and an assistant. Mornings are short and slow, with songs and a lot of pointing and showing.
Arrive, hang a coat, wash hands
Songs and a short story on the rug
Snack, play and a walk outside

Moyenne section, ages 3 to 4
Amadou Diallo guides the middle room. Children begin to answer in French, in single words at first, and the guide always answers in kind.
Greetings and a song at the rug
Play with wooden toys, silks and blocks
Snack that children set out and clear
Outdoor time, then lunch and rest for the school day

Grande section, ages 4 to 5
Cécile Thibodeaux guides the oldest room. Children hear longer stories, play counting games and take on small projects, and they are the ones who help the youngest find the rug.
A longer story and talk about it
Counting and letter games
Looking closely at shells, leaves and seeds
Quiet play after lunch for the school day
Every morning
What to bring and wear
Bring
Lunch in a container your child can open, a water bottle, and a spare set of clothes in a labeled bag.
Wear
Clothes your child can manage alone and that can get wet or dirty, and shoes that stay on for outdoor time. Rain boots stay at school.
Leave at home
Toys, tablets and anything with a screen. The rooms already hold what a child needs for the morning.
Hear a room while it is working
A tour is a good way to hear how a morning runs. Book one, and bring your child if you like.
